4 Star EDGE Brian Robinson Commits To Kentucky

Brian Robinson officially announced his college decision on Wednesday morning. After a long recruitment, he has committed to Kentucky over the likes of Michigan, Penn State, and Maryland. Robinson is the 77th ranked player in the country (Rivals) and stands in as a true 6'4, 260-pound EDGE rusher.

The Youngstown native was primarily recruited by Vince Marrow whose ties with Robinson's dad eventually won out. In early spring, it was nearly a forgone conclusion that Brian was headed to Michigan. UK stuck around and was able to get him in for a visit and eventually got him on campus with the Smith twins (former Michigan commits) for a game in Lexington which seemed to be the tipping point. Vince Marrow never rushed him into a decision and that tactic paid off today when the four-star recruit announced that he will be attending Kentucky.

In this class, Kentucky now has 3 of the most college-ready defensive prospects we've seen in some time. Robinson and both of the Smith twins (Jerod and Jacob) are going to be immediate contributors and are going to be disruptive for SEC offensive lines for years to come.

Kentucky now has a top-25 class and is looking to finish on a high note in the 2024 cycle.
