Beau Allen Transfers To Tarleton State

Just six days after entering his name into the transfer portal, Beau Allen has finally found a new home. The former four-star recruit and two-year back-up quarterback at Kentucky has announced that Tarleton State is where he plans to spend the rest of his eligibility at.

It was very obvious that Beau Allen realized he wasn't going to get a high volume of reps behind Will Levis this season and wanted to go to a program where he could get starter-reps and actual field time - and Tarleton was the perfect answer to get that. With four years of eligibility remaining, the former Lexington Catholic star will get to showcase what he's really made of at much lower level of competition where he will likely thrive in.

Tarleton's head coach had a lot of great things to say when asked about picking up a transfer in Beau Allen this week.

"Beau's got a really quick release, and he's accurate, just really smart, and I think he's going to do really well for us," said head coach Todd Whitten on Allen's arrival. He did mention that the quarterback job is open and that there is a lot of competition (for the starting job) on the roster, but, I'm calling this 'coaches talk' because there is no way he transfers there without knowing he's going to be QB1. I'm sure he will "win out" the starting job before too long on his new campus.

Check out Beau in his new uniform! He's traded the blue for purple.
