BJ Boston's Career Game Dedicated To Terrence Clarke

After enduring what many consider to be the worst season in Kentucky Basketball history, BJ Boston, once thought to be a potential lottery pick, fell all the way to the 51st pick in the draft. But after tearing it up in the G-League, including a 46 point performance, he has earned himself the opportunity to compete at the NBA level. He is not taking this shot for granted and is making the most of this opportunity.

Last night, BJ put up 27 points (team high) on 9/13 shooting from the field and 5/8 from 3. He also added 4 steals and a +/- of +10, all of which proved to be key in a narrow 3 point win over the Boston Celtics.

BJ's great performance was fueled by extra motivation and inspiration. His late former teammate and best friend, Terrence Clarke, was originally from Boston and always wanted to play for the Celtics. In his post game press conference, BJ attributed his career performance to his relationship with Terrence.

"That's the type of relationship we had. He always pushed me to be my best self... I actually dedicate this game because he's from Boston and he wanted to play for Boston, so just going out there with a chip on my shoulder and his energy just carried me along the way."

The hurt and sorrow of Terrence's tragic passing will never leave. But neither will the inspiration, motivation, and joy that Terrence brought into this world.
