Blue-White Game Set For Northern Kentucky Location

Updated: Oct 16, 2023

For a while there I was wondering if this event was even going to happen this season because normally we already know by this point of the year of when it would be, but I'm glad it looks like it will continue to take place. The annual Blue-White basketball scrimmage has been scheduled to take place in just a few days from today.

Last year it was held in Pikeville, KY to help raise money for the flood victims of that side of the state as well as for the tornado victims out in the western part of the state. The outing was very successful, so they look to do it again by allowing fans to donate again this year, using their reach to help benefit their own people inside state lines. Truly a special opportunity led by John Calipari and roster of last season which has been passed on to the new one.

This year's scrimmage will be hosted at NKU's Truist Arena on October 21 and will be sponsored by Kroger. The game will tip-off at 6 PM ET. and will be broadcasted (online only) by the SEC Network+. For fans who plan to attend, the doors will open at 4:30 PM.

The location of this event will allows fans in the northern part of the state a chance to see their Wildcats up close, and close to their homes, for a cheap price. But more importantly, to help continue to money being raised for the EKY/WKY victims. Per UK, "All ticket revenue will benefit the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund and the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund." Tickets will go on sale at 10 AM this Thursday, October 12, and they will ranges from $10-$25 each and will be available to purchase online through Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Truist Arena box office.
