Brock Vandagriff Transfers To Kentucky

The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh, Today, it giveth! Kentucky lands their two-year quarterback that has shown lots of upside. The former UGA backup quarterback made a splash in the college football world as a recruit, being labeled as a 5-star coming out of high school.

The UGA transfer was stuck in a system behind Stetson Bennett, then followed up behind current Georgia quarterback Carson Beck. The Bogart, Georgia native finished his 2023 season at UGA with a 66.7% throwing clip at 12-18 and racked up his best game against Kentucky, throwing 5-7 (71.4%) and a touchdown.

Vandagriff has 2 years of eligibility left, which is huge for a quarterback in the Liam Coen system. The offense will be going through a transition phase after losing quarterback Devin Leary, and most importantly provides an SEC-level talent to develop young quarterback sensation Cutter Boley.

Kentucky is picking up some big momentum in the transfer portal and starting it off with the biggest name at the biggest position. Time for Liam Coen to reel in some more highly rated transfers to complete that offense.
