Bryce Hopkins Has Entered The Transfer Portal

It seems like every summer we have one of these guys and it appears Bryce is the next one. A player who comes in with a lot of expectation during their freshman year but things just don't seem to work out. It stinks but it's part of the process. Bryce Hopkins has officially entered his name into the transfer portal.

“This journey has been a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to play for Kentucky growing up and it came true. I can’t thank Big Blue Nation enough," said Hopkins in a post.

Bryce is a phenomenal talent with high potential that I look to do huge things in all of his future endeavors. He averaged just 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds a game. I guess it didn't help he only averaged 6.4 minutes a night either.

He'll forever be remembered by the Big Blue Nation for his performance in February against LSU. In that game, he came off the bench to score 13 points in the second half and led Kentucky to a 71-66 win.

According to Jack Pilgrim of KSR, Illinois, Providence, DePaul, and Louisville are among the early leaders for Bryce’s next destination.
