Bryce Hopkins took to Twitter Monday afternoon to announce his decision regarding his plans for the 2022-23 season.
The one year Wildcat announced he will be transferring to Providence.
In Hopkins' lone season at UK, he played in 28 games in which he averaged 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists. Rumors began circulating around the program during the season that Hopkins was unhappy with his role under Calipari's system and would enter the portal at the end of the season.
Hopkins will play under 11 year head coach Ed Cooley, and will join a Providence team that just advanced to the Sweet 16 and recorded its highest seed in program history as a 4-seed. Hopkins will have 3 years of eligibility left.
