As football season approaches us, and basketball season just being a few months behind it, there will be endless amounts of news surrounding the teams and Cats Coverage is looking to add help! We plan to add writers to the staff, which will consist of posting articles, content, photographing games from the sidelines, covering media events, and possibly attending games.
If you are someone who is interested in dabbling into the media world, or has the passion to cover UK sports, please contact us. Unfortunately, this is not a paid gig, but this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, grow your online presence, and connect with like-minded individuals who have the same love for the Wildcats as you do.
At the moment, we only cover Kentucky basketball and football, due to limited help, but we would like to step foot into the other worlds of Kentucky Athletics in the near future, which includes sports such as UK Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, etc. If you find yourself more interested in the programs outside of the main two (football/basketball), we could discuss some opportunities in that area as well. If not, we do need help covering the football and basketball team.
We are open to anyone interested, but definitely any college students (of any school), journalism majors, people free in the day-time, or even nights. No worries, we will respond to every person.
