Coach Cal stays hot by landing a commitment from consensus 5 star and top 10 player in the class of 2022, Chris Livingston! Livingston joins fellow 5 stars Shaedon Sharpe and Skyy Clark to form what is currently the #1 ranked recruiting class in the nation for the class of 2022 according to 247Sports. The Akron native is ranked 4th in his class by ON3, 5th by 247Sports, and 8th by Rivals in their most updated rankings.

Livingston is a very unique prospect who will be a key part of the new style of play that Coach Cal has spent all off-season talking about. He has the physical tools to play as a big, as he stands in at 6'7" 220 lbs according to Rivals. However, he still contains some guard skills and spends a majority of his offensive possessions playing on the perimeter. While he is listed as a small forward, playing the stretch 4 in a "Four Out" offense will best fit Livingston. He has the strength to defend the interior, while still having the perimeter skillset to help space the floor on offense.

Livingston's game will also benefit from playing with three other guards. It will create more space for him to take stand-still jump shots, as well as open up driving lanes for him to get to the hoop where he is most effective. These 3 other guards can consist of already committed Shaedon Sharpe and Skyy Clark, as well as another 5 star guard and top 10 prospect in Cason Wallace. Cason's Rivals' Future Cast and 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions go entirely in favor of Kentucky as of now, and is set to commit on November.

Livingston selected Kentucky over Georgetown and Tennessee State. Memphis was an early leader for Livingston, but was cut late from his list of schools after Kentucky rumors started to pick up. Seeing schools drop out knowing that they have no shot to compete against Calipari and his new coaching staff is an amazing sight that the Big Blue Nation hasn't seen in years. With this commitment, Calipari will now attempt to cap off this recruiting class by looking to add big men Dereck Lively and Adem Bona, as well as aforementioned guard Cason Wallace. They truly have the potential to be an all time group at Kentucky.
