Could Kentucky Football Be Without One Of Its Biggest Weapons?

There have been some rumblings recently surrounding the University of Kentucky football program. Not the good kind of rumblings, like the possible commitment of a high profile recruit, but the kind that no one wants to hear about their team.

Those rumblings seem to indicate their is a very real chance that Chris Rodriguez may not play for Kentucky this season.

According to an anonymous source close to the university, Chris Rodriguez has multiple problems that he is dealing with, one which includes the DUI arrest that occurred a few weeks ago. While very few details are known as to what the other circumstances are, the source let Cats Coverage know that the DUI is not the only legal issue that CRod might be facing. The multiple violations could lead to his senior season being impacted greatly.

Hopefully, this is all just rumors and assumptions. If not, Kentucky will lose a serious contributor on the offensive side of the football. The running back spot then becomes a group effort, as Rodriguez is backed up by Kavosiey Smoke, Jutahn McClain and La’Vell Wright. With Chris projected to have a huge season, this would be such a blow to the program.

Nothing is official yet, but Cats Coverage will provide more details as they become available. Let’s just hope that we don’t have to see what the offense looks like without C-Rod until 2023.
