Earlier this morning Fanatics launched its name, image, and likeness jersey storefront. This, for the first time ever, will allow college fans to customize and purchase officially licensed apparel featuring the names of their favorite schools' student-athletes. The licensing agreement allows college athletes to put some of the money from the sales into their own pockets.
Here's what a jersey could look like if you decide to order one.
Big Blue Nation was in panic mode this morning when Fanatics released the first forty schools that are available immediately and Kentucky was not one of the schools listed. However, a UK spokesperson said that will change very soon. Kentucky is indeed a part of the NIL pick-a-player replica jersey program. The only issue is that the blank inventory had not arrived yet for Kentucky, but when it does, jerseys and other apparel will go on sale to the general public.
Make sure that you keep an eye on Fanatics.com if you are interested in picking up a new jersey for the Kentucky Football season. At this moment, this partnership is only between Fanatics and the Kentucky Football program, however, there are talks of doing more with other sports in the future.
