As mentioned in the previous post, Davion Mintz will be headed to New Orleans this week to participate in the State Farm College Three-Point Championship. But, he won't be down there just for one event, he'll be down there to take care of business in two. The Three-Point Championship, and also the Reese's College All-Star game. We're used to seeing this for our football players, but now we're getting a chance to see it for our seasoned basketball roster which for once actually has seniors on it.
The All-star game will take place on April 1st, the day after the Three-Point Championship, and will be hosted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and Reese's. This event features the top seniors in college basketball and is one of the main events leading up to the games of the Final Four.
Davion becomes just the second UK player to participate in the game, joining Derek Willis' appearance in 2017, in which he won the MVP trophy for the West Team.
This will be the first time the event will be held in nearly two years due to the coronavirus. Davion will get to represent Kentucky once more in his collegiate career.
