DeAndre Square Makes NFL Draft Decision

Inside Linebacker, DeAndre Square, is returning to Kentucky!

Square will be coming back as a 5th year Senior (extra year due to COVID) and adds to the growing list of Kentucky Wildcats who are choosing to return to Kentucky instead of putting their names into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Just days after both Jordan Wight and Jacquez Jones announced that they were returning to UK for another season, the Wildcats add another piece to the puzzle for 2022 with much needed experience at the LB position in Square. Not only is there experience at that position but you have guys like Will Levis, Chris Rodriguez, Chauncey Magwood, and Izayah Cummings so our offense is looking good as well!

There was some doubts at the position of Linebacker due to inexperience if these three guys (Wright, Jones, Square) decided to forego their last year of NCAA eligibility to enter their names into the 2022 NFL Draft. However, with all of them now returning to Kentucky we can rest assured that we will be in good hands at that position.

Wright, Jones and Square combined for 193 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, as well as, 2 interceptions. In Square's 4 years alone he has managed to rack up 245 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions.

Kentucky Football's future is looking brighter and brighter for 2022!
