Devin Leary On Maxwell Award Watch List

Former NC State quarterback Devin Leary hasn't suited up once in the blue and white and he already has the spotlight on him. Yesterday, Leary was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, which is an annual award that is presented to the most outstanding player in college football.

The graduate transfer from the Wolfpack threw for over 6,800 yards in his four seasons in red. The Sicklerville, New Jersey native has proven his accuracy on passing as he completed 568 of his 944 pass attempts and threw for sixty-two touchdowns. This 60.2% completion rate was good enough for fourth overall in NC State school history.

If you would like to keep up with how Devin Leary does in the Maxwell Award Watch, make sure to keep a few dates in mind. The Semifinalists will be announced on November 13th. After, the three finalists will be announced on November 28th. The winner of the Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show which will be held on December 7th. However, there will be a formal presentation of the award which will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards in March of next year.
