Final Stats In Win Over No. 13 Auburn

Road kill. Road kill. Road kill. Kentucky found a way to go down to 13th ranked Auburn and spoil their College GameDay parade while also ruining their 16 home game winning streak dating back to last season.

The final score was 70-59, a game in which Kentucky never gave up the lead. Their largest lead was 16 points and it came with 6 minutes remaining in the second half. The crowd inside Neville Arena was electric and the Wildcats didn't flinch once. This was a statement win by a team that fans were starting to fall off with it seemed. This will drastically improve their resume and will likely give an internal boost to the ones involved. To the ones who watch, I don't think you can pencil this crew out just yet. One could argue that if you can win at a place like this, you can win anywhere.

As you could've guessed, they were led by Antonio Reeves who was elite in the second half finishing with a game-high 22 points right ahead of Adou Thiero's 14 points. This team found a way to shoot 44% in a hostile environment that there was standing room only from the second they opened the doors. For some reason this team seems to be playing better on the road than at home which is really odd, even with this one feeling like it was unlikely to actually result in this fashion. In fact, you can add my name along with the ESPN crew that predicted a clean sweep of Auburn winning this one. Well, they did it, and I'm very happy to eat my words on that one. They are now 18-7 and are riding the high-wave as they prepare to go into LSU on Wednesday night. Hopefully they can return home with back-to-back in-conference road wins.

Here are the final stats from the 11-point win.
