Jaysean Paige, who played high school basketball at Perry County Central (averaging 21.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game) in the 14th region, has signed a 10 day hardship contract with the Detroit Pistons.
Paige signed the deal after the Pistons had several players undergo Covid protocols. Recently, he has been playing in the NBA G-League for the Maine Celtics where he is averaging 16.9 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists this season. Paige played for the Maine Celtics in the 2019-20 season and joined the team again in the 2021-22 season.
He has played professionally overseas for teams in Germany, North Macedonia, England, Hungary, and Puerto Rico. Paige also played two season at West Virginia University.
It’s good to see another Kentucky boy (literally) make it to the League.
