Lorenzo Cowan Commits To Kentucky

Updated: Sep 24, 2023

A day after picking up an ugly 28-17 win over Eastern Kentucky, the Wildcats have landed their 17th commitment of the 2024 class.

Three-star EDGE Lorenzo Cowan chose the Kentucky Wildcats over WVU, Virginia Tech, and USF. The newest Cat hails in from Jenkins High School out of Savannah, Georgia. The peach state EDGE measures in at 6'4 and 220lbs. He might not be the biggest guy but he has a great frame that after a few years of being in a strength and conditioning program can be developed. On film, the speed really stands out. Pairing Cowan with Elijah Groves and Antwan Smith gives you a very athletic LB/EDGE core going forward. That's not even mentioning the possibility of flipping the Smith twins and landing Brian Robinson as well.

Cowan was in attendance for the game against EKU on his official visit and ended up committing the very next day. He is also the younger brother of Kentucky 2023 signee Tavion Gadson. Props to Brad White for sealing the deal on a promising prospect.

Kentucky is looking to go big-game hunting to close out the 2024 cycle on a high note.
