Grant Godfrey Picks Kentucky

2023 four-star linebacker Grant Godfrey is in fact, a Cat. The 6-foot-3, 215 pounder sent a chef’s kiss to the Vols on Monday afternoon when he took to Twitter to announce his decision.

Godfrey is a top-350 player according to 247 Sports Composite rankings and is a top-30 linebacker in the class. The Suwannee, Georgia native held offers from Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee and others.

Godfrey will join the 2023 team and will step into a major role joining a linebacker core that will be losing key members like Deandre Square and Jacquez Jones after this season. It looks like Kentucky is starting to put together a recruiting class with a Stoops mindset: DEFENSE.
