Injury Report: Jacquez Jones Is In A Medical Boot

Here we go with our annual summer tradition! A star player on Kentucky's football roster coming out with an injury in the middle of the offseason. There has to be some curse, because this is happening every summer now.

Senior star linebacker, Jacquez Jones, posted to his Instagram story Tuesday morning a picture of him wearing a medical boot to support his hurt lower leg/foot.

The details on his injury are not yet known, but we can be hopeful that it won't be a long term injury that will impact his senior season in Lexington by the choice of his words, "I'll be back," posted in the description.

Last season, Jacquez Jones finished with 82 tackles (37 solo, 45 assisted), a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception. After spending his first three seasons at Ole Miss, his first season at Kentucky was everything they hoped it would be. With Jones deciding to return to school and not entering the NFL Draft, this staff has very high expectations for him on what he can do this year. Let's hope they can get ahold of whatever is wrong and allow him to heal as quick as possible. We still have at least three and a half more months until the first game of the season.
