Kentucky forward Isaiah Jackson has been named to the Preseason Watch List for the Karl Malone Award, an award which is given out to the best power forward in all of college basketball.
He is 1 of 20 players across the country to be named to the preseason watch list, including just one of three players from the SEC:
UK's Isaiah Jackson
LSU's Trendon Watford
Tennessee's John Fulkerson
This year's award will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in April. Jackson looks to become Kentuckys first winner in the seven years of existence for the Karl Malone Award.
By mid-February, the watch list will be trimmed to 10 players. Five finalists will be revealed in late February with the winner being announced during the annual ESPN College Basketball Awards show on April 9. Fan voting will be a part of all three rounds of voting before a winner is announced.
