Jager Burton has committed to Kentucky

Mark Stoops and company are still getting paid dividends from their success within the program, winning 7+ games for the last four seasons, with a 10-win season coming in 2018.

Wins and bowl game trophies are a major attraction for elite recruits, and it's been well known what's been going on in Lexington over the last few seasons. In-state players can't help to want to be part of it, and we're seeing that in the class of 2021.

This evening, the No.1 player in the state of Kentucky, Jager Burton, announced that he would be committing to Kentucky. the four-star standout from Frederick Douglass chose the Wildcats over dozens of Power 5 programs, with some of those being Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oregon.

Actually, his full list of offers is quite impressive, so I'll tell you them all. Jager Burton held offers from: Alabama, Clemson, Kentucky, Ohio State, Oregon, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida State, Georgia State, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

With Burton having the option of going to nearly any school in the country, it speaks volumes that he decided to stay home to be apart of something special here in Lexington.

Jager Burton becomes the FIFTH commitment out of the top eight ranked players in the class of 2021, from the state of Kentucky. Kentucky is building a massive recruiting class to step in right after Kentucky wins the SEC title this season.
