It is no big secret that the Kentucky Wildcats came away from Ole Miss banged up. Will Levis, as well as Jacquez Jones, both sustained injuries last week, with Jones appearing to have a foot injury as he hobbled off the field. Will Levis' injury seemed to only be a broken finger after getting sacked.
However, last night KSR's Matt Jones dropped a little nugget on his live Twitter space that hinted that Levis' injuries might be a little more severe than we had thought.
If this is indeed the case, losing Will Levis would be an absolutely devastating blow for Kentucky. All other injuries you can work around, but if you lose your QB1, your entire offensive playbook changes. This is no offense to the backup quarterback, Kaiya Sheron, but if he gets the go ahead to start Saturday night, I would expect to see a heavy run game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Rumors are just rumors, however Las Vegas has taken notice, as the betting line had Kentucky as 11.5 point favorites before this news broke and overnight it has since dropped to 6.5 point favorites.
There are still over 48 hours left until kickoff, so it will be interesting to see how all of this unfolds.
