Kavosiey Smoke Enters Portal

Kentucky Football is five days into the postseason and fans are starting to see the results of immediate eligibility. Kentucky running back Kavosiey Smoke has entered the transfer portal, per reports.

Smoke, a 1500+ yard career rusher, has one year of eligibility remaining. The news comes after UK announces running backs/special teams coach John Settle has been fired, as well as offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. Kentucky will likely look for another running back in the transfer portal, as they will likely lose Chris Rodriguez to the NFL. The potential starter at running back, Ramon Jefferson, is coming off of a torn ACL in last years season opener against Miami (OH).

Smoke finished the 2022 season with 277 rushing yards on 58 carries, along with 1 touchdown. After buzz around him leaving the program last season, it appears Kentucky will have to go even harder in the transfer portal to create some depth.
