It is transfer season, whether that is for the better or for the worst. This afternoon, it feels borderline for the worst. Kentucky tight end Keaton Upshaw has announced that he will put his name into the transfer portal.

He becomes the sixth Wildcat to enter the portal this offseason, joining four wide receivers and a running back.

The 6’6 246 pound senior missed all of last season, due to an injury suffered in fall camp.

What I mean by "for the worst" is that, after seeing action in 24 games combined in his freshman and sophomore seasons, as well as being sidelined throughout his junior year, his senior year just seemed to take a step back as he went for only four receptions accounting for 50 total yards and zero touchdowns.

There is not a whole lot of buzz about where he might be headed to, but he will be leaving in good standing and the entire fanbase will likely still support him from afar.
