Keion Brooks to miss the first game of the season

Kentucky has their first game in just two days, versus Morehead State and John Calipari announced this morning that sophomore Keion Brooks will miss the game as he is still recovering from a calf injury that he's been rehabbing all summer. Even though he did participate in Kentuckys Pro Day last Friday, it looks like he won't be available against Morehead State.

"Keion I do not believe he will be here the first week,” Calipari said in his Monday press conference. Keion Brooks is the only returning scorer from last years team and they'll definitely miss his production as he misses the first of a slate of 3 games in five days as they host the Bluegrass Showcase in Lexington.

Wednesday (Nov. 25): Game 1 vs Morehead State

Thursday (Nov. 26): Thanksgiving

Friday (Nov. 27): Game 2 vs Detroit Mercy

Sunday (Nov. 29): Game 3 vs Richmond

If he will play on Friday versus Detroit Mercy is still unknown, but we'll likely found out more on Thursday evening as we're stuffing our faces full of turkey.
