Kentucky Football Names Team Captains

Just a few hours before your UK Football Eve sleep presents itself, the team announced all seven of its team captains for the upcoming season. By upcoming season I mean tomorrow, and that's something I can barely believe I am typing out. We are here ladies and gentlemen.

The 7 on the list of official team captains for Kentucky Football include defensive back (junior) Zion Childress, (sophomore) defensive lineman Deone Walker, (senior) offensive lineman Eli Cox, (junior) linebacker Trevin Wallace, offensive lineman (fifth year senior) Kenneth Horsey, (senior) outside linebacker JJ Weaver, and (senior) quarterback Devin Leary.

I like that the staff rewards loyalty by naming the experienced guys which consis a lot of the linemen who hold down the fort deep in the trenches. To add to that, the face of the program Devin Leary gets the weight thrown on his shoulders as well so he remains full intact with what the mission is this year. Then the addition of super sophomore Deone Walker was just a no-brainier because there won't be a minute this season that he isn't on the field.

Also, they announced the uniform combination for game one against Ball State. Looks like we're going with the blue helmet-blue jersey-white pant color way presented by Kentucky Branded.
