Kentucky Lands 5-Star Kicker Jacob Kauwe

A tale as old as time, Kentucky scores a Yahtzee at the kicker position.

Jacob Kauwe, the five-star kicker/punter out of Billings, Montana, is rated as the 28th best kicker and 17th best punter in his class, according to Kohls Kicking, a professional camp used by ESPN to grade kickers and punters. Kauwe also held an offer from Montana State.

According to Kohls Kicking, the newest Wildcat posesses a leg that is comparable to some NFL kickers. Although Montana isn't known for producing many kickers, Kauwe has the ability to kick 80-yard kickoffs on windy days and has recorded 70-yard punts, one even recorded with 4.4 seconds of hangtime.

This addition becomes the second committment this week, just the following day after landing Jadon Lafontant, the highly rated three-star offensive lineman out of Greenwich, Connecticut.

With the recruiting haul being made at the University of Kentucky, it's safe to say that Jay Boulware is off to one hot start.
