Kentucky Moves Up To Number 10 In Coaches Poll
In response to the 26-16 win over then #12 Florida, the voters in the AFCA Coaches Poll moved Kentucky up 10 spots up to #10 on Sunday.
Kentucky’s opponent, Florida, fell two spots to #21. There are now eight SEC teams represented in the poll: #1 Alabama, #2 Georgia, #10 Kentucky, #11 Arkansas, #16 Tennessee, #17 Ole Miss, #21 Florida and #22 Texas A&M.
While Kentucky made the second biggest jump in the poll, BYU had the largest move, vaulting 11 spots in the rankings to #14, following its win in overtime against #19 Baylor.
The Wildcats will have the opportunity to continue to climb the rankings with “should win” games in the next two weeks against Youngstown State and Northern Illinois. This could set a matchup of potential 4-0 teams as Ole Miss has a similarly favorable schedule.
