Kentucky’s 2023 Schedule Officially Released
We are just just getting the ball rolling on the 2022 football season, but we now know Kentucky's schedule for the 2023 season following the official release coming on the SEC Network this evening.
Kentucky draws Alabama out of the west as the Crimson Tide will travel to Lexington for the first time since 2013. The previous two matchups between Kentucky and Alabama took place in Tuscaloosa during the 2016 and 2020 seasons, both of which were blowout wins in favor of the Tide. Once you get past that, the usual suspects are on Kentucky's schedule once again with the six east opponents, Mississippi State, and Louisville. The Wildcats remaining non-conference opponents are Ball State, Akron, and Eastern Kentucky. Check out the schedule below:
9/2: vs Ball State
9/9: vs Eastern Kentucky
9/16: vs Akron
9/23: at Vanderbilt
9/30: vs Florida
10/7: at Georgia
10/14: vs Missouri
10/28: vs Tennessee
11/4: at Mississippi State
11/11: vs Alabama
11/18: at South Carolina
11/25: at Louisville
Drawing Alabama out of the west while still having to play Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee will make for one of the more difficult schedules in the Stoops era. The star-studded 2022 class will have a year under their belt and will be looking to become elite SEC players in year two. If Kentucky can get another 10-win season with this schedule, you might as well give Mark Stoops the keys to the state.
