Kentucky Set For Home-And-Home With Gonzaga

As Kentucky hosted their live practice as well as the telethon to raise money for eastern Kentucky, head coach John Calipari alluded to a special announcement that he had planned on announcing during the event.

In exciting fashion, he brought on Gonzaga head coach, Mark Few, through a live stream that was broadcasted throughout Rupp Arena as well as through LEX18's live broadcast.

It seemed like the two were really good friends, and they broke the news that Kentucky and Gonzaga would do a home-and-home series starting this season. The Cats needed another non-conference game for November 20th this season, and they have found it. Kentucky will travel to Spokane this year on that date, then Gonzaga will travel to Lexington on a date yet announced during next seasons schedule.

This has been a game fans have begged for over the last few seasons and I think they staff got the message. A matchup that almost got scheduled last year, but ultimately fell through and was filled in with North Carolina as Kentucky looked for a replacement in the CBS Sports Classic, is coming soon.

Who is going to Spokane?
