Kentucky Volleyball Announces 2022 Schedule

The Kentucky Volleyball program has released their official schedule for the 2022-23 season, which features nine non-conference match-ups and 18 Southeastern Conference matches.

Kentucky will open the season inside Memorial Coliseum against two of their 6 non-conference home games, beginning with Marquette and Ohio University on August 26th and 28th. They'll end the season taking on South Carolina twice.

Let's get into what happens in between. Defending national champion Wisconsin will play Kentucky either September 9th or September 10th with the Wildcats playing host to Indiana State on the other day of that weekend. Another key feature of the schedule is the annual 'Battle of the Bluegrass' between UK and Louisville, which will return to Lexington on Wednesday, September 14th.

The conference schedule kicks off on September 24th against LSU, going through the rest of the schedule until postseason play. They will use the same scheduling model that they did last year, playing six two-match series, and six single-match games against one opponent. The home conference schedule will host LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina. The Cats will find themselves on the road against SEC foes, making trips to Missouri, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Mississippi State and Florida.
