No fans allowed at Kentucky vs. Georgia Tech this weekend
Kentucky's matchup this Sunday at the State Farm Arena, will now be televised only due to covid restrictions in Fulton County (Atlanta), Georgia.
The organizers of Holiday Hoopsgiving sent out an email this morning that said:
Out of an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to limit attendance to essential personnel and travel parties for the Pit Boss Holiday Hoopsgiving 2020 basketball showcase at State Farm Arena on Dec. 6 and 12.
You will be issued an automatic refund to your original form of payment. State Farm Arena’s top priority is the health and safety of players, partners, fans, and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience this update may have caused in your plans, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility.
We already knew it wasn't going to be a normal year where Kentucky fans can pack the city of Atlanta, or Cat-lanta as many call it, but now having no fans will just make this game more of an AAU style setting, which doesn't seem anywhere close to the college basketball that we are used to.
Game time will be at 5 p.m. ET this Sunday.
