Kentucky vs New Mexico State game preview
One more Caturday left for the 2021 football season as the Kentucky Wildcats host the New Mexico State Aggies for a Noon kick off at Kroger Field for Senior day. Kentucky is coming off of their 34-17 win against Vanderbilt last weekend in Nashville, as well as, snapping a 3 game losing streak. This victory sealed a 5-3 record in the SEC and second place in the SEC East.
Saturday, several seniors (22 to be exact) will walk and hopefully will get a well deserved ovation from the Kroger Field crowd. That group includes:
Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald - DL, Tyrell Ajian - DB, Marquez Bembry - LB, Zac Berezowitz - DB, Yusuf Corker - DB, Cedrick Dort Jr. - DB, Austin Dotson - OG, Darren Edmond - WR, Isaiah Epps - WR, Colin Goodfellow - P, Collin Hartmann - DL, Zach Johnson - S/KR, Darian Kinnard - OT, Tyler Markray - RB, Marquan McCall - NG, Quandre Mosely - DB, William Nalty - ILB, Josh Paschal - DE, Davonte Robinson - S, Matt Ruffolo - K,
DeAndre Square - ILB, and Jordan Wright -OLB.
Kentucky has some sixth year seniors such as, Davonte Robinson, Justin Rigg, and Luke Fortner who have opted to not walk again this year but this will be their final home game as a Wildcat. Speaking of that, there is a pretty likely chance that this could be the last chance we will see both Wan’dale Robinson and Chris Rodriguez (both juniors) at Kroger field as well.
The Seniors should have no issue going out with a bang and get one final victory on their home field as the crippled Aggies (1-9) just came off of a 59-3 loss to No. 2 Alabama. With a win today Kentucky will extend their win streak against non conference opponents to 15 games which dates all the way back to their home loss against the Louisville Cardinals in 2017. It would also secure the Wildcats’ second 8 win season since the year 2000.
You can find the game at 12:00 (noon) EST on the SEC Network. The Draft Kings sports book has the spread at Kentucky -36 currently. ESPN’s predicting the Wildcats will have a 98.9% chance at victory and I do as well I believe the Cats will not let this Senior class down and I think they roll the Aggies my prediction is:
Kentucky 45 - Aggies 10
