Kentucky vs. South Carolina Game Time Announced

Kentucky managed to handle business this past Saturday in Starkville, Mississippi as the Wildcats defeated the Bulldogs 24-3. This win was crucial in many different aspects. This made Kentucky bowl eligible for the eighth straight season (a school record), it snapped a three-game losing streak, and finally it gave the Wildcats their first win in Starkville since the Rich Brooks era dating back to 2008.

As we look forward past the Alabama game this coming Saturday for just a second, it was announced that Kentucky would get another night game slot for the South Carolina Gamecocks down in Columbia this year.

That game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff and it will be televised on the SEC Network.

I am almost certain that Kentucky fans would have rather had Alabama as a night game so that there would be more time for fans to partake in tailgating festivities but another night game is nice nonetheless. As we know, the Big Blue Nation travels well so this would be an excellent opportunity if you want to see another Kentucky Football game in person before the season is over.

Now, I am not trying to skip over Alabama at all, but if I am being honest, we just need to try to get by this week and remain healthy for the final two road games against South Carolina and Louisville. If you told me right now that if Kentucky loses to Alabama and then managed to steal a couple of wins on the road and ended the season at 8-4, I would consider that a success. That is about where I expected them to be at the beginning of the season, either 8-4 or 9-3. Beat the Gamecocks and Cards and see what happens against 'Bama this weekend.
