Kentucky Wide Receiver Arrested On DUI, Other Charges
Updated: Apr 6, 2022
Spring practice is well underway in Lexington, and through two weeks the Cats have had their ups and downs on and off the field. As reported first by the Herald-Leader, it seems there is one more black cloud above us in Lexington.
Early Sunday morning, senior UK receiver, Rahsaan Lewis, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Lewis, son of NFL legend Ray Lewis, was charged for driving under the influence, improper start from park position, and reckless driving.
“We are aware of the incident, and we will continue to monitor the situation as it develops,” UK Football SID Susan Lax said in a press release.
According to the police report, Lewis had a blood alcohol level of .153, nearly double the legal limit. Lewis also showed obvious signs of impairment while police officers performed a field sobriety test.
Lewis did, however, compete in practice on Tuesday despite what had happened the weekend before. This story is still developing and will be updated as more news comes out.
