Kentucky Will Be A 3 Seed In the SEC Tournament

Updated: Mar 12, 2022

The regular season has officially concluded. Kentucky finished the year at 25-6, going 14-4 in-conference as they get ready to head to Tampa. Today's 71-63 win over Florida tabbed the Wildcats as a No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament, playing Friday with a double-bye in place.

Auburn has earned the top overall seed after finishing 15-3 as the SEC regular season champs. LSU also took down No. 25 Alabama in an overtime thriller. Going further, the No. 13 Volunteers beat No. 14 Arkansas, which solidifies the Razorbacks as the 4 seed in Tampa.

Top four seeds are #1 Auburn, #2 Tennessee, #3 Kentucky and #4 Arkansas. The rest aren't yet set. It's a big day in the SEC and there are a lot more games to be played. There are two more games take place later this evening that don't necessarily effect Kentucky immediately, but will help round out the rest of the conference tourney seeding. Those two games will be Vanderbilt at Ole Miss at 6 p.m., and Mississippi State at Texas A&M at 8:30 p.m. Both games will be aired on the SEC Network.
