When it seems like everything is falling apart in this world, you can always count on one thing to stay true: the joke of what people call, the University of Louisville... well, their basketball team of course. I guess it's not right to include the rest of the student body into that shit-show of a program, but, they truly can't stop Louisville-ing.
I once heard a quote from a wise UK fan, and it has stuck with me ever since. "Louisville gonna Louisville." And that's remained true to this day.
Friday afternoon, the audio became public of the recorded conversation between Chris Mack and Dino Gaudio after the firing of Guadio, in which he was unaware he was being recorded, and. threatened extortion to Chris Mack and the illegal things that had been going on within his program.
The school announced that Chris Mack will serve a six game suspension, from Nov. 7 to Nov. 28, when Louisville plays six non-conference games including two in the Bahamas. During the suspension, Mack will not have access to the team's coaching staff or student-athletes and will forfeit approximately $221,000 in compensation.
Former Assistant UofL basketball coach Dino Gaudio has been sentenced to 1 year probation and a $10,000 fine for extortion. “I made an error in judgement and I take full responsibility for that,” Gaudio said. “It will never happen again.”
Louisville, keep doing your thing. We're your biggest supporters.
