Malachi Wood Commits To Kentucky

We all know by now how important Vince Marrow is when it comes to recruiting. The "Big Dog" eats, sleeps, and breathes recruiting at the University of Kentucky and he was up at it again late last night.

Kentucky received a verbal commitment from Class of 2023 recruit, Malachi Wood, out of Richmond, Kentucky. The 6'9" 290-pound Offensive Tackle currently plays high school football for Madison Central High School in Richmond. Wood took to Twitter to announce his decision to become a Kentucky Wildcat.

Malachi Wood is listed as a three-star recruit and the 11th ranked player in the state of Kentucky according to rivals.com. Wood also had offers from schools such as EKU, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Miami (OH), Purdue, Toledo, and West Virginia among others.

It is becoming more and more apparent that the state of Kentucky can produce some highly talented offensive linemen. Just look at the past couple of seasons with talents such as Drake Jackson, Landon Young, and even Eli Cox. Malachi Wood is just the latest player from Kentucky to choose to stay home and play for Zach Yenser and become a crucial part of the Big Blue Wall tradition started by the late John Schlarman.

Here are some highlights of Malachi Wood for your viewing pleasure.
