Mark Stoops becomes winningest coach at home in program history

Whether you call it Kroger Field or Commonwealth Stadium still, one thing is for certain and that's that Mark Stoops is the winningest coach on that field.

Saturdays win against Vanderbilt marked the 34th win at home of Mark Stoops career in Lexington, passing the great Paul "Bear" Bryant for #1 all-time.

  1. Mark Stoops (34 wins)

  2. Paul "Bear" Bryant (33 wins)

  3. Jerry Claiborne (32 wins)

  4. Fran Curci (29 wins)

While Stoops still has many of years left in Lexington, it's likely that the coach who went 2-10 in his first season will become the programs winningest coach of all-time.

Mark Stoops also moved up to a second place tying for career wins as a head coach in school history:

1. Paul “Bear” Bryant (60 wins)

2. Fran Curci (47 wins)

Mark Stoops (47 wins)

A career day for the man in charge despite facing multiple off-field battles.
