Mark Stoops Earns Contract Extension
Kentucky is coming off their seventh win of the season, and sixth straight over Vanderbilt. They now own sole possession of second place in the SEC, behind Georgia.
Mark Stoops now has 56 wins as Kentucky’s Head Coach, chasing after the late great Paul “Bear” Bryant, who owns the record of 60 wins, for most in program history.
Deservedly so, with the success Mark Stoops has had at Kentucky in the last four seasons, his 7th win last night earned him a contract extension for another year.
His deal will now be extended to 6/30/27. He looks to earn $6.5 million in 2027 year, with a guaranteed salary of $4.875 million.
Mark Stoops can be at Kentucky until the day he decides he longer wants to with the way he’s building this program. Give it a decade and his statue will be sitting outside of Kroger Field.
