Marques Cox To Return For Another Season

Marques Cox joins other offensive lineman Eli Cox in making the decision to return to school for another season in a Kentucky uniform. This will be Marques' seventh and final season of NCAA eligibility. We now end the day at three players who have made the decision to enter the transfer portal (Geiger, Dinkins, and Crowdus) and two who have decided to return (both Marques and Eli Cox) to school.

Marques Cox is a 6'5" 310-pound offensive lineman who transferred to Kentucky last year after playing five seasons with Northern Illinois University from 2018-22. Cox has started 34 out of 36 of his career games, only allowing 3 sacks in his time at NIU with counted for over 1,000 snaps taken. He and Eli Cox's returns help bring back two core pieces of the o-line, ramping up excitement for next season's offensive protection.

With players making their decisions to enter the transfer portal, it is always a good thing to hear that one of your veteran leaders has made the decision to stick around for another season to contribute. This is huge because the staff can continue building around what's already here once they're back on the recruiting trail again.
