Michigan State Linebacker Transfers to Kentucky

Kentucky casually released the information this morning that former. Michigan State linebacker, Luke Fulton, has decided to transfer to Kentucky.

It's believed that Kentucky kept this quiet for so long because they were recruiting another player at the same position, and didn't want it to steer the player away because the football staff believes they can use both.

Luke Fulton was a top-20 recruit at his position in the 2019 class, and a graduate of Mark Stoops alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High School. He redshirted at MSU in 2019 and did not see the field in 2020 after new head coach Mel Tucker reportedly suspended him due to an altercation at a fraternity party. Fulton was initially charged with 'aggravated assault' but accepted a plea deal to a lesser charge under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, which allows those who complete conditions of their sentence to have their records sealed.

Kentucky plans to use Fulton as inside linebacker while he's here, and his helps the loss of Jamin Davis who has entered the NFL Draft this offseason.
