NBA CATch-up - 2/1/22
Good morning, BBN! The Young Cats in the NBA balled out last night, and we simply loved to see it.
Tyrese Maxey scored 33 points, including the two final baskets for the Sixers in overtime. The Sixers were trailing 118 to 119 to the Grizzlies, and Maxey hit a driving layup to take the lead with 25 seconds left. Then on the other end, the Sixers got a defensive rebound and threw it to Maxey on a fast break for the exclamation point. He IS that guy.
Also, Isaiah Jackson got his first NBA start last night, and he certainly made the most of it. The Pacers rookie scored 26 points and got 10 rebounds (both career highs), recording his first career double-double. After getting pretty limited playing time the first half of the season, Jackson surely earned himself some more minutes with that performance.
