NBA CATch-up - 2/5/22

Happy Caturday, BBN! While you wait for tipoff against the Tide tonight, check out the action you missed from the league last night. Although 9 of the 15 former Cats on rosters last night either didn't play or were Out, there was still plenty to talk about. Keldon Johnson scored a season-high 28 points for the Spurs in their victory over the Rockets. Hami finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Pistons, including one three-pointer that he hit without his left shoe (below). In other news, the Clippers included Eric Bledsoe as part of a trade deal with the Trailblazers, making Portland the 5th team to have Bledsoe on their roster. As the trade deadline looms, rumors have sprung up of a possible trade between the Knicks and Kings of Julius Randle and De'Aaron Fox, but both players were quick to publicly throw water on the idea. We'll know one way or another by Thursday afternoon. See the rest of the Cats' stats below:

  • Keldon Johnson: 28pts, 7reb, 1ast, 2stl

  • Hamidou Diallo: 21pts, 14reb

  • Tyrese Maxey: 18pts, 2reb, 6ast

  • Trey Lyles: 9pts, 6reb

  • PJ Washington: 8pts, 9reb, 1ast

  • Rajon Rondo: 2pts, 2reb, 2ast

  • Kevin Knox: DNP

  • Nick Richards: DNP

  • Wenyen Gabriel: DNP

  • DeMarcus Cousins: DNP

  • Enes Freedom: DNP

  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Out

  • Isaiah Jackson: Out (ankle)

Tonight, be sure to break out the split-screen or second monitor, as the Knicks take on the Lakers at 8:30pm EST on ABC, half an hour after the current Cats tip. Plus, more fan favorite former Cats take the court, including Fox, Herro, and Booker. Check back tomorrow for all the news and updates.
