Ohio State's Ben Christman Transfers To Kentucky

Sad about all the money you lost on the Derby? Tired of this rainy weather going on in central Kentucky today? Good, here is some positive news to replace it with. Kentucky just received a commitment from Ohio State offensive tackle, Ben Christman.

Coach Yenser adds a valuable piece to the offensive line, hoping to build it up stronger than what was displayed just last season. "Let's freaking go. Getting the wall back solid with another huge brick," said Associate Head Coach Vince Marrow on the news. I'd have to agree with that as his measurements come in at 6'6" and a whopping 310 pounds. A hoss that can earn his in the sports' hardest conference.

Ben entered the transfer portal less than two weeks ago, not taking long at all to find his new home. Hailing from Richfield, Ohio, he'll have three years of eligibility to bring to this roster. Once a four-star recruit and the 6th ranked player from his home state in 2021, this is a very solid pickup by the staff as they yet secure another one from up north in their stomping grounds.

I searched and searched across the internet machine and couldn't find any stats from his time at OSU, outside the fact that he redshirted the 2021 season as a true freshman. Let's hope he just didn't get an immediate chance as a Buckeye and (he) plans to come lay it all out on the line as a Wildcat. If he was good enough to be a scholarship player for them, he's more than good enough to play here. And let's not forget, we've had a lot of success with players transferring in from major programs for more playing time here. I'm fine with that continuing and us being tabbed as "Transfer-U."
