Oscar Tshiebwe Named SEC Player Of The Week

We haven’t seen this one in a while, but I sure am glad it has returned! A Kentucky player has won the weekly SEC award.

Oscar Tshiebwe has been tabbed as the Player of the Week in the Southeastern Conference today for his performances last week. An all-time great outing that took place at home versus Georgia, totaling 37 points, 24 rebounds, 1 block, 1 assist and 3 steals, on 60% shooting, was followed up by a second outing against Texas A&M, where the big man went for 7 points and 17 rebounds, backed by a solo assist, are what helped him earn this award.

You don’t need me to tell you how great he is, you already know. But the fact that he is leading the Wildcat in points per game, rebounds per game, blocks per game and the highest shooting percentage per game is extremely impressive to me. He won many conference awards last season and it looks like he’s planning on earning a lot more this season.
