Raymond Cottrell Commits To Kentucky

Kentucky continues to make a splash on the transfer market after landing former 5-star quarterback Brock Vandagriff. After a weekend hosting former Georgia commit and Texas A&M transfer Raymond Cottrell is a Cat!

Cottrell is a 6-foot-2 203-lb wideout that will joing the program with four years of eligibility, after only appearing in one game in 2023 as he faced ULM. In his lone game vs ULM, Cottrell recorded a 13-yard touchdown reception in a 47-3 win.

The Milton, Florida native will be a big addition to the wide receiver room. Last night, Shamar Porter retrieved his name from the transfer portal and (fingers crossed) Kentucky still has tabs on incoming junior receivers Dane Key and Barion Brown. With a returning Anthony Brown-Stephens and a potential new home for Donaven McCulley, former Inidana receiver that is currently on campus, the wide receiver group is starting to form after losing a couple of players to the transfer portal.

Without an offically listed wide receivers coach, Kentucky may be putting together one of their better wide receiver groups in the Stoops era, thanks to the portal and Georgia Bulldog transfer Brock Vandagriff. Although the 2023 season has not gone as planned for not only fans but the staff as well, the Wildcats have found their momentum as we look forward to 2024.
