Reed Sheppard Set to Commit on Saturday

According to Jack Pilgrim of KSR, Kentucky native and 2023 5 star recruit Reed Sheppard is set to announce his college decision this Saturday at 9:00 am ET. The commitment will be held live at North Laurel High School.

Reed has shot up to 17th in the 247Sports rankings, earning him 5 star status. If he picks UK, it would make him the first commit in would could be a stacked 2023 recruiting class. He currently has a 100% crystal ball in favor of Kentucky.

As many also know, Reed is the son of Kentucky Wildcat legend Jedd Sheppard. Jeff was a two time national champion for the cats (1996, 1998) and also won Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors. Because of this bloodline and in-state upbringing, Reed is projected to be able to make huge NIL profits if he were to commit and stay home at Kentucky.

Virginia, Iowa, and Arizona State appear to be the other top teams in contention. We should expect to see an official cut list come out soon.
