Ramon Jefferson Reportedly Tears ACL

Kentucky's running backs cannot catch a break. As we wait for updates on the status of Chris Rodriguez, the Wildcats now must deal with another blow to the running back corps.

Sam Houston State transfer, Ramon Jefferson, went out with an injury on Saturday after just two carries for 10 total yards. It is now being reported that Jefferson tore his ACL in Kentucky's opener. This injury likely puts him out for the remainder of the season.

With this devastating news, Kentucky will have to rely heavily on Kavosiey Smoke and La'Vell Wright. Both were much farther down the depth chart heading into the fall, but unforeseen circumstances have pushed them into extended action. JuTahn McClain is also battling an injury, but it looks like he'll be week-to-week and may see some snaps this weekend.
