Several Kentucky Wildcats Receive NIL Deals

Updated: Feb 24, 2023

The "Kentucky effect", as John Calipari calls it, is definitely holding true as Kentucky Men's Basketball players, both individually and collectively, have been racking up the name, image, and likeness deals as of late. Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari announced the new NIL deals mere hours after returning home from an impressive road victory in Gainesville last night.

We have learned that the team NIL deal is a partnership with Morgan & Morgan, which is one of the largest law firms in the entire country and a long-time partner of Kentucky Athletics. John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan had this to say about the partnership with the Kentucky Men's Basketball program:

“We could not be more excited to partner with these incredible college basketball players. This NCAA rule change has long been overdue and we’re thrilled to support these amazing athletes and unveil a new billboard featuring some of the best players in all of college basketball.”

However, on an individual level, both Jacob Toppin and Chris Livingston signed their very own personal endorsement NIL deals with two very respectable brands. Chris Livingston has signed a deal with the company known as "Beats by Dre", which is a well-known company that is credible for its top-of-the-line headphones and earbuds.

Jacob Toppin on the other hand, has signed an endorsement deal with AT&T. This company is one of the top wireless cellular service providers in the entire country and this is a huge NIL deal for the senior forward. The Wildcats' recent success has been both on the court as well as off the court with these numerous NIL deals.

The thing about Kentucky is you can get national deals like these ones. Most places, the best option might be a local business or an online company to present you a few hundred dollars and a billboard on the highway. At a blue-blood program like Kentucky, the top of the top is available for you and they're paired with legitimate and major-successful companies.
